Anneke’s
ten-year career at Oracle started when the company was a start-up and
spanned until the company was $1 billion in revenue and a household
name. After her first five years there in administrative, marketing
and customer service positions, Anneke started the inside sales department
in 1985 to address the company’s need to sell newly-announced
low-end products through cost-effective distribution channels. By 1988,
the inside sales group had grown to be a 65-person, $14 million operation,
yielding a 70% profit margin and generating the majority of qualified
leads for the field sales force. It currently is one of the largest
revenue-producing groups within Oracle.
In 1988, Anneke joined Oracle’s international division to help start similar inside sales programs in Oracle's subsidiary and distributor companies. Within two years, these new programs generated $10 million in incremental revenue. Anneke was promoted to direct the International Sales Services Division in 1989, which included a telephone-based service department, offering sales support to international staff in the 92 countries outside the United States.
In 1990, Anneke founded and directed the inside sales organization at Neuron Data, developers of industry-standard rules-management technology (now called Blaze Advisor, acquired by Fair Isaac & Company). There, her telesales team generated one-third of the company's total revenues in their first year.
Anneke’s pioneering efforts in creating high-performance, high-profit sales models led her to launch Phone Works in 1991 in order to provide services to those organizations needing to accelerate sales results at decreased cost of sales by implementing inside sales.
Anneke has served on numerous Advisory Boards including Siebel Systems, Integrity QA (Rational Software/IBM), and WebLine Communications (Cisco) during their start-up phases.
Anneke holds a degree in Human Biology from Stanford University.
