Cathie's
career in inside sales started at Netscape in 1995 in the Netsales (inside
sales) division before browsers and websites were part of everyday life.
Her experience in Netscape's Inside Sales team gave her the insight
as to how a phone-based sales organization could be a significant contributor
to a company's bottom line. Initially part of the lead generation team,
responsible for finding and qualifying business prospects who would
be early web server technology adopters, Cathie was introduced to the
model of repeatable, scalable processes which would prove to be a path
to success. As the internet wave exploded and she moved into quota carrying
responsibilities, Cathie became the top performing inside sales rep
for Netscape and was able to experience the career benefits of a well-structured,
fast-paced, highly motivating inside sales environment.
In 1999, Cathie went to then start-up Epiphany to define and start their inside sales division. As the Senior Director of Inside Sales and Sales Operations at Epiphany, Cathie built her operation from the ground up, and successfully grew and managed the business through to Epiphany's acquisition in late 2005. In 2001, Cathie engaged with Phone Works to do an Assessment engagement to ensure her team was at maximum output and contribution. Cathie's team focused on lead generation and maintenance renewal business resulting in the top performing sales region in the company with six consecutive years of above quota attainment. Also responsible for sales systems and reporting, Cathie has hands-on management expertise with all facets of a successful inside sales model.
In 2006, Cathie joined Phone Works to work with clients who find themselves faced with similar opportunities, and challenges, as she has experienced.
Cathie is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Economics.
